The 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗟 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 was been held in Mons, Belgium – September 15–19, 2025. It was organised by UMONS, beneficiary in EIFFEL. 

The event, organized by Prof. David Beljonne and supported by DC3 (Cristina López-Cava), brought together doctoral candidates and leading researchers for a dynamic programme combining training, lectures, and collaborative sessions. The agenda featured soft skills workshops on ethics, integrity, and data/IP protection, alongside high-level scientific lectures by Johannes Gierschner (IMDEA Nanoscience, Spain), Jenny Nelson (Imperial College London, UK), and Koen Vandewal (University of Hasselt, Netherlands), covering topics from chromophore emission to device physics in organic photovoltaics.

A main part was the DCs’ presentation of their project progress. Moreover they engaged in brainstorming and planning activities, fostering both scientific exchange and professional development. A computational chemistry hands-on training has also been part of the DCs’ training schedule.
